Golden Cactus Sweet Bites began the way the best things do — in a family kitchen.
I'm Pedro, the baker behind Golden Cactus. I grew up in Venezuela, where I first learned to bake alongside my family — and especially my sister, who taught me that food was never really about food. It was about love. It was how we showed up for each other, how we said the things that are hard to say out loud.

I went on to train formally as a pastry chef at IEPAN in Venezuela, but that first lesson never left me. When my sister passed away, baking became something more than a craft — it became a way to keep her memory, and everything she taught me, alive. Every batch I make carries a little of that.

Golden Cactus is my way of bringing that tradition here, to the Coachella Valley I now call home. The name comes from the desert around us — golden for the sunsets and the color of a cookie fresh from the oven, cactus for the roots, the resilience, and the place that made this dream possible.

Everything is made by hand, in small batches, from ingredients I choose with care. I'm the owner, the baker, and — for now — the whole team. That means every cookie that reaches you passed through my hands, and carries the same intention my family gave me all those years ago. Because to us, a cookie was never just a cookie. It's how we say we love you.
